A Little Update

3:33 PM

Well I have been slacking on the blog lately.  Here is a little update on our lives.

Things have been busy lately in the Hall house.  Brett spends a lot of time at school.  They started towards the end of August and have already had two, count 'em, TWO tests.  He did great on both of them, like he always does, and he better for the amount of studying he puts in.  Brett has also started tutoring Biochemistry on Wednesday nights.  This past Wednesday was his second class.  He said it was a little intimidating to stand in front of 40 people and teach, but that it wasn't so bad after it got going.  I don't think I would be able to do it!

I started school in the middle of August.  Tomorrow is the last day of my first fall term! WOOHOOO!!! I took LIT 331, Art of the Novel, and LIT 440, Multicultural Literature for the past six weeks.  Since my school is online it is set up kind of differently than most.  One semester is split into 3 six-week terms.  My second fall term starts on Monday.  I will be taking two more lit. classes.  GO READING!  For my LIT 331 course I had to read six books within six weeks.  It was a little intense.  The first couple were fun to read, but I completely hated the last few.  Something about suicidal, depressing, murders doesn't tickle my fancy.  But hey, that's just me.  Anyway, hopefully my next two classes will be just as insightful as the first two!

P.S. I graduate the end of May!!! :)

In other news, the Hall family will be welcoming in a new family member very soon!!  Don't worry, I am not, let me repeat, [NOT] pregnant.  We are getting a puppy!  I am so excited that I can barely contain it.  Brett is enthused but does not come close to my joy.  The puppy is a puggle (pug/beagle mix) and the breeder says we should be able to pick him up around the end of this month.  I want to name him Dexter while Brett is more fond of Rufus.  In Brett's words "We will know what to call him when we see him."  Either way, I can't wait!

Fall is officially here in Wisconsin.  The leaves are changing, and the air smells like carving pumpkins and hot chocolate.  It is absolutely wonderful.  We are so blessed and love this adventure we call life!

  1. I'll admit you got me a little excited on the expecting part, however dogs are just as much work as babies so you'll be cured of babies for a while haha!
