A New Addition

5:44 PM

Now where should I begin??  Once again I shirk my blogging duties (big surprise)!  Last time I left off we hadn't picked up our puppy.  Well, that happened a while ago.  We drove 4 hours round trip and picked the little guy up at the end of September.  He weighed just under 6 pounds and was smaller than my shoe.  It is a different story now-a-days.  As of yesterday at 9:40am my lil' Dexter weighed 15.1 pounds!  Where did my little puppy go?

For those of you who do not already know, Harry Potter 7 is now in theaters YAY!  Brett is not so thrilled, but the rest of my friends are.  For the last week or so we have been getting together to watch all of the previous movies.  Since the boys have a big test on Monday we haven't been able to go see the new one yet.  No worries, we are planning on going Monday night :).  At our last viewing of HP Danielle brought her dog Peter to my house.  Dexter was more than thrilled.  I have never seen him with more energy.  This was Dexter's first "puppy play date" so he was a little more enthused than Peter, who has had many.

As for Brett and myself, everything is moving along quite well.  Brett is still tutoring on Wednesday's which he has started to detest unfortunately.  I seems to be a lot more preparation than was expected.  Luckily, the semester will be over soon and I will get my husband back on Wednesday nights!  He is doing well in all of his classes.  Like I said earlier, he has a test this coming Monday so he is currently locked away in the guest room studying :(

I just began another set of classes.  This time I have Shakespeare and Major Authors which is focusing on Edgar Allan Poe.  He was quite the disturbed fellow and I do not enjoy reading some of his work.  Others are alright and intriguing but some are just the opposite.  Needless to say, I have read a lot of stories concerning death and incest and psychotic breaks.  Not the better part of my day.  Shakespeare has turned out to be rather fascinating.  I just finished Hamlet and I really REALLY like it.  Ha I guess I contradict myself.  I hate Poe for certain aspects of his writing yet love Hamlet for the very same.

Work is going well.  Lately I have not had a whole lot to do which makes the days drag on and on and on and on.  Let's just say that I am glad that it is the weekend.  A time for leisure and relaxation!  And book reading.  Brett gave the the remaining two books in the Hunger Games series for my birthday.  As of now I have completed one of them and in record time.  I couldn't put it down.  Brett says that it replaced him for the little while I was reading it.  I strongly recommend them to anyone who has time to kill and loves to read.

Well, that is all for now.  Brett and I are going out to dinner so I must be off.  I promise to try and be better with my update.  Take it for what it's worth ;)
